Understanding Stomach Cramps
In most cases women associate abdominal cramps with their period. Women cramp as their body prepares to expel the lining of the unfertilized uterus. It happens once a month. This lining is made up of a bunch of tiny blood vessels and once the body has contracted enough, your period will begin. It is a natural, albeit sometimes painful thing to happen. Some women cramp only in their lower belly and others will feel cramping in their lower back. For some women it is just a minor annoyance and for others it will be something that makes them unable to handle their normal daily routines.
